Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) includes a range of practices such as acupuncture, auriculotherapy, herbal medicine or Chinese herbology, dietary therapy, Qi Gong, Tui-Na or Chinese massage and cupping.

Acupuncture is safe, effective, and natural, it has been used very effectively for thousands of years by literally billions of people worldwide for a variety of disorders. We have taken this amazingly pragmatic art and combines it into a scientifically monitored system that now optimizes the use of both Eastern and Western medicine.

The basic principle of acupuncture is that the body has an energy force running throughout it. This energy force is known as Chi. The Chi consists of oxygen, nutrients and chemical-electrical energy potentials in physical body.

Person’s health is influenced by the flow of Chi in the body. When Chi is not balanced, disease occurs. Acupuncture works by re-establishing the homeostasis of the body thus allowing it to restore to a healthy state. A vast majority of all modern diseases come from stress, poor diet, lack of exercise, negative thinking, and other lifestyle imbalances, all of which impede the flow of Chi. Oriental medicine’s central tenet is to optimize these functions and to use proven, safe and effective natural remedies in doing so.

We have successfully incorporated TCM into our multidisciplinary clinical model with excellent results. With hundreds of patients treated, using our treatment algorithms, we have been documenting the efficacy of acupuncture for many conditions, and not just musculoskeletal and pain, but neuro-endocrine, gastrointestinal, immune, psychiatric and cardiovascular disorders.
